Welcome to the EMCC Ireland
We exist to promote good practice and the expectation of good practice in mentoring and coaching across Europe.
We are a pan-European Council that consists of representatives from several national EMCC's plus direct members in countries where a local EMCC does not yet exist.
EMCC Ireland (EMCC IE) is the Irish group affiliated to EMCC.

Emotional Intelligence
"In hard times, the soft stuff often goes away. But emotional intelligence it turns out isn't soft. If emotional obliviousness jeopardizes your ability to perform, fend off aggressors, or be compassionate in a crisis no amount of attention to the bottom line will protect your career. Emotional Intelligence isn't a luxury you can dispense with in tough times. It's a basic tool that, deployed with finesse, is a key to professional success"

Transforming Culture "Do Coaches help or Hinder?"
The very skills that we need for survival are not officially acknowledged or valued, and where they do exist, they are often deployed or structured in a way that guarantees they will be squeezed out in these austere times. Coaching is in the heart of this dilemma – but coaches are both the problem and the solution.
Lorna McDowell of Xenergie Consulting Ltd facilitated an evening of enquiry on the topic for EMCC members.
Lorna McDowell is a systems and transformation coach.

Annual Conferences
The annual conference brings together researchers, scheme co-ordinators and practitioners of mentoring & coaching from across Europe.
For anyone involved in mentoring & coaching European business, education or the community at large, it provides a central focus which has increased in popularity since the first conference was held in 1992.
New insights and developments in mentoring & coaching are continually evolving and the annual conference acts as a show case of these developments as well as a forum for sharing current best practice.
